KID’S CORNER

The question we have for you is off topic – but not really, because it is about maintaining peace in our house. We have a story to tell you… Bob, our little brother’s toy policeman, seems to be possessed by a ghost. It keeps vanishing and reappearing in other rooms. We’re scared. We are wondering if you know what to do. We have good luck bracelets to keep the spirits away but we want to vanquish him forever. Maybe his soul is not at rest and he needs our help. We think he even possessed our brother Jake, who brought us the four letters that spell L – O – A – N, as in loan your bodies to us so we can roam the earth once again. We are going to try a spell tonight when it’s dark in a circle of harmony. We will need him to be in the jar to perform the ceremony. Do you have any advice for us? Please send us a reply back very, very soon. We love you Grandma Talia. We know that you are very good at understanding Nature and perhaps supernatural beings too. Please help us.

Dear lovely girls,
I think what’s going on at your house is a little spirit that’s bored and wants to have some fun. Knowing you as I do, as two special beings who love to have fun, too, and are bored without fun, this spirit (Bob) has chosen you for playmates. DO NOT be afraid. No nonphysical spirit has any power over you. You are the most powerful beings in the universe with your own spirit, so rule out fear. Open up to Bob, who will enjoy this so much more if you treat him with dignity and respect. He may very well be trapped, perhaps died somehow, but doesn’t know he’s dead. If this be the case, you can say to him, “Hey, Bob, buddy, we think you might have died, and you don’t know it.” Sometimes people do die, but for whatever reason don’t want to leave their home or parents or pets, whatever, so they stay around the earth plane and forget to go home to the light of heaven. Tell Bob that it’s okay to go to the light. Invite him to come and play with you now and then, but assure him that the light is where he belongs. I am grateful for Bob that he’s found you through Jake’s toy, and that you were wise enough to pay attention. Be very kind to Bob, and to all beings, because it’s hard for any of us to be here. It says that you are aware beings. Waking up to peace will be no problem for either of you.
   Love and Kisses,

Hi Talia,

Thanks for the advice. Last night we did the ceremony and we think that it worked! Here is an outline of the ceremony we performed after dark in front of our fireplace.

1. Lit four candles

2. chanted “OM”, the vibration of creation and energy that is all around us and within us.

3. Chanted “Locah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu” – a chant meaning “May all beings everywhere be happy and free.”

4. Prayed for Bob’s soul to go to the light.

5. Each shared what they saw during our prayer, followed by a drink of our ceremonial sparkling cider.

Thoughts included seeing Bobby in green pastures, reunited with his Grandparents and pets from previous lives.

6. Burned a leaf.

7. Burned a flower petal.

8. Anna blew out a candle (representing “Wind”)

9. Sprinkled some sand we had gathered from the ocean into the flame of a candle (representing “Earth”)

10. sprinkled more sand into each candle to represent “Moon”

11. burned weeds representing “Sun”

12. Performed ceremonial happiness ring with wine glass (rubbing a wet finger around the rim of the wine glass with ceremonial cider – if it was a high pitch Bob was happy in his new place; if it was low he was scared). It was a high ring.

13. Each person present said a few words in honor of Bob – how we felt sorry that we had been scared in the beginning but became friends and now wanted him to be with his deceased loved ones, followed with a ceremonial drink of cider.

14. Note: one of the candles in front of Bob went out at this point in the ceremony.

15. ended with the burning of a weed.

We then had smores to celebrate our ceremony.

Dear Anna, Mary and Juniper,

Thank you for sharing with me, and our readers, this beautiful progression of your ceremony for Bob. Through Bob’s presence in your lives, you have moved to a higher understanding and way of thinking. When I read what you wrote about the ceremony, my heart about leaped from my body, with tenderness, even more than joy, at how you handled this. While I wished I could have been at the ceremony with you in person, drinking the sparkling cider and watching your animated expressions throughout your spiritual gathering, I was content to think of you as I walked with the dogs under a crescent moon, with all of you with me in spirit, including Bob.

For the benefit of our readers, who don’t know what transpired in between your question and my answer, I will take a minute here to explain that during my nightly walk on Clear view road with the dogs, on the same night of the ceremony for Bob, hosted by Anna and Mary and Juniper and Vandana who would soon be honoring Bob, instead of fearing him, with love and peaceful efforts to help him go home to the light. Bob, himself, came to me in my mind, which sometime happens when spirits need someone to listen to them. In the encounter, Bob came to my open mind and told me that he was actually named Robert by birth, but was called Bobby by his friends and family. Bob told me that he had a bicycle accident when he was seven years old, in 2001 that ended his physical life, except that he didn’t know it. In that calamity, a policeman named Erik, one of the first to arrive at the scene, who was very kind to Bob, and who tried to save his life, but in the end couldn’t, was in part why Bobby used the police doll to come to life in, so someone else could see him, and because it was a way of honoring Erik, whom Bob never forgot. He chose Anna and Mary and Juniper as play mates because they seemed to know how to have fun, and Bob was lonesome for playmates, as well as for someone who could see him, which he was having a hard time getting people to notice, including his own parents. Through Anna and Mary and Juniper, Bob learned quickly that these girls had good eyes and great imaginations, enough to notice Bob through the police doll that he moved around their house. Yes, Bob had died in the sense that we think of death, but he didn’t know it, because when you die, you’re still very much alive in your spirit. In fact, you’re more alive in your spirit than when you were alive in your body, which Bob had once lived in as Bobby. Only now, that body was in a grave and Bob was young and innocent in his spirit that still felt like he had a body, which is why he couldn’t figure out why people couldn’t see him. Bob said that when he got hit by the car he remembers seeing the light and going into it for a while, which was very nice, nicer than anything he had experienced on earth, but then he remembered looking back at his shaggy dog, Rufus, who was literally weeping, and decided to come back for him, because Bob loved the dog so much. Rufus, as we can all imagine, was devastated by what had happened to Bob, his best friend. So now Bob, even though he could be with Rufus, who could see Bob, was trapped between the earth plane and the light. Bob said he has learned so much through the girls, and is now going back and forth between their house and the light, and was definitely planning to be with the girls for their ceremony. Soon, he said, he will be ready to go back to the light for good, and thanks Anna and Mary and Juniper, as well as Vandana, their step mother who helped facilitate this communication. Bob is grateful for their fun, their friendship and their wise guidance. You’ll see me again, soon, Bob told me, in spirit form, because now I can see it all. Bob said he would like to work for God helping other people cross over into the light who are trapped, as well as working for peace for us all. I told Bob, as I’m telling you, that soon we will all be living in a New World of magnificent beauty and joy, living harmoniously with the living and the dead, traveling through the universe in freedom, living happily as one family of God throughout eternity, without ever having to die again.

With blessings of imagination and joy,

talia

Everybody needs to love their selves, before they can love someone else. That is a very old saying going back from 1935 when a young African American woman felt bad about her self because she was her color.I myself had trouble loving myself because I was overweight, But guess what? People still love you for who you are no matter what. I know the feeling of being mad at yourself for who you were. But as my mother, Bridget Mathias, says “If everybody was the same and everybody had the same feelings, life would be boring.” Now that is just as true, as me saying the sky is blue and the grass is green. And do you know what? God loves you no matter who you are, what you look like, and what you do. Please love yourself because you are perfect, I guarantee it.
